Dr Mark Stanton, Dentist, B.D.Sc.
After attending Wavell State High School, Mark embarked on a career in dentistry and graduated from the University of Queensland in1975. His first position was as a government bonded dentist at Collinsville, North Queensland. In 1977 he became a member of the teaching staff at Townsville Dental Therapy School and was involved in training dental therapists.
Dr Stanton became a staff dentist at Redcliffe Hospital and made the move to private practice in 1982, working in a busy group practice in Brisbane City. In 1984 he took over from Dr Tom Packer, who retired from the Kedron practice he had established in the late 1940’s. Dr Stanton has been proud to continue serving the dental needs of his local community. The Queensland State Government Northern Busway Development forced a relocation and a new and state of the art dental facility was completed in Kitchener Road, Kedron in November 2008.
Dr Stanton has kept pace with advances in techniques, materials and infection control throughout his career by attending post-graduate continuing education programmes and workshops, dental conferences and trade displays and maintaining membership of the Australian Dental Association and the Cadmus Dental Study Group.
Dr Stanton is married with 2 daughters. His interests include cycling, swimming, physical fitness, the great outdoors and astronomy.
Dr Tharani De Silva, Dentist, BDS, University of Otago
Dr De Silva completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Otago (New Zealand) in 2009 with Credit. Prior to this, she completed a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Biomedical Science at the University of Auckland with First Class Honours.
Dr De Silva has worked in private and public practices in both Auckland and Brisbane. She moved to Australia in late 2011 and has worked for Queensland Health’s Stafford Dental Clinic and joined Kedron Dental Centre in July 2012.
Dr De Silva enjoys all aspects of general dentistry but has a special interest in orthodontics. She is a graduate of the Progressive Orthodontic Series and offers conventional orthodontics at Kedron Dental Centre. She keeps up to date with advances in dental techniques and materials by attending regular workshops and seminars, and enjoys seeing patients of all ages.
Dr Sheena Madhani, Dentist, BDS (HONS) MFDS RCSEd
In 2009, Dr Madhani graduated from Cardiff University (Wales, United Kingdom) with Honours in Bachelor of Dental Surgery. She then went on to complete further study at the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh (2012).
Dr Madhani’s passion for dentistry and continual professional development led her to the role of Senior House Officer in UK based hospitals. During this time she was routinely involved in Maxillofacial and Oral surgery, Specialist clinics in Oral medicine, Restorative and Paediatric dentistry.
Dr Madhani has extensive experience as a Dental practitioner in both private and public sectors in the United Kingdom and Australia. She has a special interest in Orthodontic treatment and offers fixed braces. Dr Madhani is driven by the desire to deliver the highest standard of care she can to all her patients. Her skills are complemented by an experienced, enthusiastic and caring group of staff at Kedron Dental Centre.
Dr Madhani is married and has settled in Brisbane permanently. Her interest include contemporary architecture, scuba diving, swimming and spending time on the coast.
